The Cretaceous Period started 201 million years ago, and lasted until 145 million years ago. Dinosaurs thrived in this era, and are known for their towering size.

Tyrannosaurus Rex       Velociraptor               Triceratops

The Tyrannosaurus rex was a carnivourous dinosaur who was at the top of the food chain, and ruled the cretaceous period. They are often considered the most famous dinosaur, and had a bite force of up to 5,000 pounds. The velociraptor, which means "speedy thief" lived in North America, and they were actually the size of a turkey. The triceratops was up to 30 feet long, and were actually hunted by T-Rex's.
